[New: openFATE 323818] A Ruby Version up-to-date
Feature added by: Françoys Proulx (Asimov) Feature #323818, revision 1 Title: A Ruby Version up-to-date Package Wishlist: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Mandatory Requested by: Françoys Proulx (asimov) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: The actual version make the installation of Rails and Sinatra, on the same computer impossible. The actual version of Ruby (2.1.X) are in end of line. An the version of RPM package of Rails is obsolete (Rails 3). The use of the Ruby 2.3.x serie would make Opensuse lot more appealing for Rubyist and for commercial Rails server. And would solve the problem with Rails and Sinatra. It is a major problem because the 2 frameworks have their use. Think of Rails as an 18 wheeler. And Sinatra like a pickup. Rails is good as server-side server. Sinatra is more adapted to make client-side server -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/323818
