Feature added by: Joschi Brauchle (endzone) Feature #314693, revision 1 Title: Make PXE-bootable openSUSE live system available openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Joschi Brauchle (endzone) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Many people seem to have tried to make an PXE-bootable openSUSE Live CD/System (not PXE installation), but there seem to be no *easy, step-by-step* instructions on how to get this working. There seems to be a way to get this done via a) KiWi oder b) SUSE Studio, but a) seems pretty complicated and b) is not free. See the following links: 1) http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/install-boot-logi... 2) http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/network-internet/... 3) http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/network-internet/... 4) http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/install-boot-logi... Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: In our corporate environment, all machines are currently running openSUSE 11.4 or 12.2. Thus, it would be great to have an openSUSE-based PXE-bootable live-system, in case there are problems with a machine. Currently, we have to use other distributions, which provide PXE-bootable images, to do rescue operations. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/314693
