Feature changed by: Bruno Friedmann (bruno_friedmann) Feature #311477, revision 4 Title: i18n of demo dvd openSUSE Distribution: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Jean-Daniel Dodin (jdd) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: Now that the demo is a dvd, why couldn't we have more localized langages? now the keyboard works, but not the other parts. If the user asks for langage in YaST and have an internet access atm, the langage is dl from the net, but this is very long and unusefull for a live session :-) Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: At least in France, a demo in english is not really appealing, specially when we can have a french distro :-) of course we can make a suse studio appliance, but not duplicate it at large + Discussion: + #1: Bruno Friedmann (bruno_friedmann) (2011-03-09 16:12:50) + Just a word about what you find on the promo-dvd : It's a six pack in + one disk. one side 32bits, the other 64bits. one side contain the dvd- + installer (reduced), a kde-live & a gnome-live. Sure i18n, and + especially french would be nice to have, but choice has to be made to + package all that stuff on 4.7GB so to make this request a bit more + usefull, an inquiry has to be realized to sum how much place the i18n + stuff will take on each of the 3 isos. Don't be too frenchy, promo-dvd + are used in Greece, in Brazil, India etc ... we need all of them on it. + Could we organize something else for next release like having 8GB usk + promo ? I would prefer that, just because most of new device doesn't + have any dvd ! :-) -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/311477
