[opensuse-factory] M5 - post-prompt messages on tty1, & after login
Are these ever supposed to happen? On my 2nd boot after dup from M4 to M5 I was away from the machine when boot completed. When I returned, the login prompt looked thus: hostname login: [210.005007] eth0: no IPv6 routers present WARNING: Number of errors: 0, skipped probes: 361 Is this expected behavior? I logged in on tt2, then executed an alias that mounts some NFS shares, which (abnormally) dumped the following to screen: [ 626.619099] RPC: Registered udp transport module. [ 626.619230] RPC: Registered tcp transport module. [ 626.619346] RPC: Registered tcp NFSv4.1 backchannel transport module. [ 626.669489] Slow work thread pool: Starting up [ 626.669697] Slow work thread pool: Ready [ 626.669853] FS-Cache: Loaded [ 626.712632] FS-Cache: Netfs 'nfs' registered for caching Is that a new expected result of nfs mounting from script or cmdline? -- "Suppos [sic] a nation in some distant region, should take the Bible for their only law book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited. . . . My tty1 works sort of 1. It has a bash or keyboard driver that does not work correctly. It seems to miss any back key and in seems to over type and not insert. 2. A YaST2 setup console mouse or gpm fails sometimes. It is started by /etc/init.d/rc3.d/S#gpm which is linked ../gpm after started sometimes it works and other it is just gone from the screen. This is an NVidia video card Also why do many of the source-devel packages seem to be missing files? Good examble is M% mysql and libmysqld.a On 04/19/2010 05:19 PM, Carlos E. R. wrote:

Mine does not work at all, I do not even get the login prompt. It is an Intel on board video (a laptop), GM45 I think. But VT2, 3, 4.. etc work fine. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
