Clementine developers have answered to GitHub Issue with: "This is a problem with the suse builds which we do not maintain." Then seems a openSUSE package issue. -- ------------------- GPG Key: 0xcc742e8dc9b7e22a Aprende a proteger la privacidad de tu correo: https://emailselfdefense.fsf.org/es/ Mi blog sobre openSUSE, GNU/Linux y software libre: https://victorhckinthefreeworld.com/
Hello,
After update to the last snapshot (20170227) clementine still doesn't
starts. It fails with the same message as above.
$ clementine
clementine: symbol lookup error: clementine: undefined symbol:

There's a bug on bugzilla opened by other guy about the same issue.

Greetings. It seems that Clementine has to rebuild against new crypto libraries. Triggering service would be enough. That strange, that it was not done automatically. Jaime G. писал 2017-03-01 19:01:

It was not done automatically because many libraries fail to properly advertise that they have new symbols. That's https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=903974 basically. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

As soon as the libcryptopp I've submitted to factory sr#469681 is accepted it won't happen again. Maybe libcryptopp should be developed in multimedia:libs because the only package that depends on it is clementine and python-cryptopp which looks like it's almost dead in the water. It was a general rebuild which fixed it but it's a landmine waiting to be stepped on again. I support your thought on changing the devel project of the library. I have lots of packages in security:forensics now that I originally put in devel:languages:*. It was just too hard to keep things straight with them in a different project. Greg All the packages I've put in devel:languages:c_c++ (all one of them) I am maintainer. The problem here is clementine suddenly started using

The ideal situation is for somebody to make me a maintainer of the package but the submit request seems to be ignored. There's a CVE that's not mentioned in the changes file as well, don't know yet if 42.2 has this fixed or not yet.
