I would like to use the new IWD alternative to wpa_supplicant. NetworkManager can use IWD as a backend, but only if configured using the --with-iwd flag, which is disabled in the package. Since IWD is officially packaged, it would make sense to enable IWD support in NM so that they can work together. I hope this is the right place to request that this be done.
