For supporting them some changes were required in kiwi and thus we should add an integration test build which makes use of this features. - Add required cryptomount coding for EFI boot For non EFI boot grub2-install has code which gets activated through the GRUB_ENABLE_CRYPTODISK setting. However for the EFI boot case no installation of boot code is needed and therefore the grub earlyboot script has to run cryptomount - Add /mnt to list of protected paths On recursive removal make sure /mnt belong to the protected elements. This Fixes #1170 - Added full encrypted image build test - Extended LUKS encryption support We supported luks encrypted images with the exception of the boot partition because grub was not able to read from an encrypted device at that time. Since some time grub is able to read from an encrypted partition and this commit add support for it. With this patch luks encrypted images will no longer create an extra boot partition and the entire system will be encrypted. The opening of the luks container happens on the grub level only once. Customers can still specify to use an unencrypted extra boot partition with the bootpartition="true" flag. In this case the opening of the luks containers happens on the systemd level as before. This is related to Issue #1162 - remove '-z' option from rsync local copy calls rsync's "compress" option just does not make any sense when rsync is used to copy files locally, it only increases CPU usage and slows down the process ;-) - Delete SuSEfirewall2 from test builds The package seems to be no longer present on suse - Bump version: 9.18.10 ? 9.18.11 - Allow dracut initrd to be used with pxe type The pxe image type builds a simple filesystem image plus a custom initrd. That initrd is usually build from the kiwi netboot image descriptions which implements a workflow to fetch the filesystem image and deploy it as rootfs for a pxe client. User who wants to implement their own handling of the rootfs image in e.g a custom dracut module were not able to build this image type because we did not allow the initrd_system attribute for the pxe type - Use message variable for long message text - Fixed handling of bool values in initrd code Some values evaluated in the initrd code are created in the kiwi builder and passed in as a profile file. bool values created by kiwi for use in shell scripts takes the string 'true' or 'false' or are not set at all if not specified in the kiwi XML description. Some code paths in the initrd code uses the '-n' switch to check for bool values, however if the string 'false' is passed '-n' will do the wrong thing. Therefore a method for the initrd code has been introduced to clearly handle bool values ==== python-numpy ==== Version update (1.17.0 -> 1.17.1) - Update to version 1.17.1 * TST: Allow fuss in testing strided/non-strided exp/log loops * BUG: avx2_scalef_ps must be static * BUG: Remove stray print that causes a SystemError on python 3.7. * BUG: Fix DeprecationWarning in python 3.8. * BLD: Add missing gcd/lcm definitions to npy_math.h * DOC, BUILD: cleanups and fix (again) 'build dist' * TST: Add 3.8-dev to travisCI testing. * BUG: Remove the broken clip wrapper (Backport) * DOC: Fix hermitian argument docs in svd. * MAINT: Workaround for Intel compiler bug leading to failing test * TST: Clean up of test_pocketfft.py * BUG: Make advanced indexing result on read-only subclass writeable... * BUG: Fixed default BitGenerator name * ENH: add c-imported modules for freeze analysis in np.random * TST: Pin pytest version to 5.0.1 * BUG: Fix leak in the f2py-generated module init and `PyMem_Del`... * BUG: Fix formatting error in exception message * MAINT: random: Match type of SeedSequence.pool_size to DEFAULT_POOL_SIZE. * BUG: Fix numpy.random bug in platform detection * ENH: Enable huge pages in all Linux builds * BUG: Fix segfault in `random.permutation(x)` when x is a string. * BUG: don't fail when lexsorting some empty arrays (#14228) * BUG: Fix misuse of .names and .fields in various places (backport... * BUG: fix behavior of structured_to_unstructured on non-trivial... * REL: Prepare 1.17.1 release ==== python-pycups ==== Subpackages: python2-pycups python3-pycups - Package /usr/lib/rpm/postscriptdriver.prov again, in the new "cups-rpm-helper" subpackage (bsc#735865). Bug Fixes: - Fix #39: In libunbound, leftover logfile is close()d unpredictably. - Fix for #24: Fix abort due to scan of auth zone masters using old address from previous scan. - Fix to omit RRSIGs from addition to the ipset. - Fix to make unbound-control with ipset, remove unused variable, use unsigned type because of comparison, and assign null instead of compare with it. Remade lex and yacc output. - make depend - Added documentation to the ipset files (for doxygen output). - Fix python dict reference and double free in config. - Fix memleak in unit test, reported from the clang 8.0 static analyzer. - For #45, check that 127.0.0.1 and ::1 are not used in unbound.conf when do-not-query-localhost is turned on, or at default on, unbound-checkconf prints a warning if it is found in forward-addr or stub-addr statements. - Fix for possible assertion failure when answering respip CNAME from cache. - Fix in respip addrtree selection. Absence of addr_tree_init_parents() call made it impossible to go up the tree when the matching netmask is too specific. - Fix #48: Unbound returns additional records on NODATA response, if minimal-responses is enabled, also the additional for negative responses is removed. - Fix #49: Set no renegotiation on the SSL context to stop client session renegotiation. - Fix question section mismatch in local zone redirect. - Add verbose log message when auth zone file is written, at level 4. - Add hex print of trust anchor pointer to trust anchor file temp name to make it unique, for libunbound created multiple contexts. - For #52 #53, second context does not close logfile override. - Fix #52 #53, fix for example fail program. - Fix to return after failed auth zone http chunk write. - Fix to remove unused test for task_probe existance. - Fix to timeval_add for remaining second in microseconds. - Check repinfo in worker_handle_request, if null, drop it. - Generate configlexer with newer flex. - Fix warning for unused variable for compilation without systemd. - Fix #59, when compiled with systemd support check that we can properly communicate with systemd through the `NOTIFY_SOCKET`. - iana portlist updated. - Fix autotrust temp file uniqueness windows compile. - avoid warning about upcast on 32bit systems for autotrust. - escape commandline contents for -V. - Fix character buffer size in ub_ctx_hosts. - Option -V prints if TCP fastopen is available. - Fix unittest valgrind false positive uninitialised value report, where if gcc 9.1.1 uses -O2 (but not -O1) then valgrind 3.15.0 issues an uninitialised value for the token buffer at the str2wire.c rrinternal_get_owner() strcmp with the '@' value. Rewritten to use straight character comparisons removes the false positive. Also valgrinds --expensive-definedness-checks=yes can stop this false positive. - Please doxygen's parser for "@" occurrence in doxygen comment. - Fixup contrib/fastrpz.patch - Remove warning about unknown cast-function-type warning pragma. - Document limitation of pidfile removal outside of chroot directory. - Fix log_dns_msg to log irrespective of minimal responses config. - Fix that pkg-config is setup before --enable-systemd needs it. - change tmpfiles-unbound.conf from /var/run/ to /run/ to silence systemd-tmpfiles warning ==== vim ==== Subpackages: gvim vim-data vim-data-common - By default do not put group in specfile as it is optional ==== yast2-add-on ==== Version update (4.2.4 -> 4.2.6) - Removed empty entry in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.6 - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.5 ==== yast2-bootloader ==== Version update (4.2.9 -> 4.2.10) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.10 ==== yast2-firewall ==== Version update (4.2.1 -> 4.2.2) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.2 ==== yast2-firstboot ==== Version update (4.2.1 -> 4.2.2) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.2 ==== yast2-kdump ==== Version update (4.2.2 -> 4.2.4) - Removed empty entry in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.4 - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.3 ==== yast2-mail ==== Version update (4.2.1 -> 4.2.2) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.2 ==== yast2-nfs-server ==== Version update (4.2.0 -> 4.2.1) Subpackages: yast2-nfs-common - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.1 ==== yast2-nis-client ==== Version update (4.2.0 -> 4.2.1) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.1 ==== yast2-nis-server ==== Version update (4.2.0 -> 4.2.1) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.1 ==== yast2-online-update-configuration ==== Version update (4.2.0 -> 4.2.1) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.1 ==== yast2-packager ==== Version update (4.2.23 -> 4.2.24) - Avoid error when generating some warnings (bsc#1148536). - 4.2.24 ==== yast2-services-manager ==== Version update (4.2.3 -> 4.2.4) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.4 ==== yast2-slp ==== Version update (4.1.0 -> 4.1.1) - Using rb_default_ruby_abi tag in the spec file in order to handle several ruby versions (bsc#1146403). - 4.1.1 ==== yast2-sound ==== Version update (4.2.1 -> 4.2.2) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.2 ==== yast2-sysconfig ==== Version update (4.2.0 -> 4.2.1) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.1 ==== yast2-users ==== Version update (4.2.4 -> 4.2.5) - Set X-SuSE-YaST-AutoInstResource in desktop file (bsc#144894). - 4.2.5 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Hi Not sure if related but I rebooted after installing the snapshot and then I had no network at all. I played with Yast and changed the network config a bit to force a rebuild of the config and it errored with a message saying there was a problem with "/sbin/netconfig update" but couldn't say what it was. I ran "/sbin/netconfig update" via cli and it said a link to a "/.././resolve.h" (not sure of the name) was not correct and i should run "netconfig update -f" to fix the link. I ran this and then netconfig again and it went though ok, i rebooted and all was well again. regards Ian On Wednesday, 4 September 2019 03:01:22 BST Dominique Leuenberger wrote:

I played with Yast and changed the network config a bit to force a rebuild of the config and it errored with a message saying there was a problem with "/sbin/netconfig update" but couldn't say what it was. I ran "/sbin/netconfig update" via cli and it said a link to a "/.././resolve.h" (not sure of the name) was not correct and i should run "netconfig update -f" to fix the link. I ran this and then netconfig again and it went though ok, i rebooted and all was well again.
regards
Ian

I manually changed /var/run to /run in display-manager.service
I saw this as well on my local machine a while ago, but only there and could not reproduce it anywhere, so I ignored it. What helped was to remove the Requires=var-run.mount entry. I could never really investigate the issue though. Cheers, Fabian

You likely mean: /etc/resolv.conf -> /var/run/netconfig/resolv.conf That happens if something touches the file, netconfig won't touch it then, only with -f. regards, -- js suse labs -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

THanks, yep, thats more like it, i should have taken some screenshots at the time. the network was okay after the update but failed on the first and second reboot afterwards. Running "netconfig update -f" fixed the link and the network came back up on the next reboot. I was worried something in the snapshot update borked the link. -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20190902 Qt: 5.13.0 KDE Frameworks: 5.61.0 - KDE Plasma: 5.16.4 - kwin 5.16.4 kmail2 5.12.0 - akonadiserver 5.12.0 - Kernel: 5.2.11-1-default - xf86-video-nouveau: 1.0.15 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
