[opensuse-factory] yast2 Apache setup
Hey open SuSE Group; Missing in MS6 and or not working. As a "User" 1. Yast2 is missing Apache2 setup in Yast2>Network Services. (as root) 2. Kmix will not even come up. Likely due to KDE reporting a problem with phonon and pulse. Yast2 > Hardware > Sound works fine however, KDE4 fails in Configure Desktop > Multimedia in both NVidia nForce2 with ALC650F (NVidia nForce2) and PulseAudio under "Test" with xine back end. 3 Amarok works correctly but no sound. Yet Yast2 plays the sound just fine outside of KDE4. 4 From a knsole/xterm Yast2 and kmix fail to even come up libphonon4-4.3.1-2.12 phonon-devel-4.3.1-2.12 phonon-backend-xine-4.3.1-2.12 phonon-4.3.1-2.12 pulseaudio-module-bluetooth-0.9.15-4.3 libpulse-mainloop-glib0-0.9.15-4.3 pulseaudio-module-lirc-0.9.15-4.3 pulseaudio-esound-compat-0.9.15-4.3 pulseaudio-module-x11-0.9.15-4.3 libpulse0-0.9.15-4.3 pulseaudio-utils-0.9.15-4.3 pulseaudio-module-zeroconf-0.9.15-4.3 pulseaudio-module-gconf-0.9.15-4.3 pulseaudio-0.9.15-4.3 libxine1-pulse-1.1.16.1-4.46 libpulse-browse0-0.9.15-4.3 alsa-plugins-pulse-1.0.20-7.1 libpulse-devel-0.9.15-4.3 -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

This yast module was always optional (I think), as far as I'm aware it's not even pulled in as a dependence if you install apache2, or at least my recollection is that it was not pulled in from 9.x+ -- “Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes.” ☘ Oscar Wilde -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
Got the audio to work now in KDE$ - /etc/group set didn't reflect the "user" fixed it. Now Amarok is working. On 08/26/2009 11:57 PM, Donn Washburn wrote:
