[opensuse-factory] QT 4.6.1, pretty please?
Hi, would it be possible to finally update QT to version 4.6.1 in FACTORY? It's pretty embarassing to get every single bug that I filed upstream in KDE bugzilla closed with "fixed a long time ago in QT 4.6.1". I understand that KDE bugreports are not really wanted in novell bugzilla and that we should report upstream, but I need an environment that enables me to do a good upstream report. Hmm. A little bit impatient? Nokia released Qt.4.6.1 on Jan 19th, that's less than two weeks ago. It was submitted to o:F on Jan 23rd and accepted Jan 29th. Now it's probably waiting for o:F to finish rebuild and get published. 11.2, not 11.3. 4.6.1 is already released ;)

Well, maybe it's really me complaining that Factory in general is seriously outdated. Yes. But why does it take 6 days to get it accepted? It was a stable bugfix release, not some experimental Major feature upgrade after all. And maybe it's me being angry about us letting look KDE so bad when it actually isn't - the only "real" KDE bug I found is already fix-backported to the 4.4 branch, all the others.

Did that now. We can't accept such basic packages every day or you wouldn't be able to download a consistent factory snapshot - on top of that I tried to finish a Milestone 1.

It was crashing all the time for months, and IIUC the bug in qt was fixed before the 4.6.1 release, so yes, a patch to qt 4.6.0 package would have been appreciated ;) -- Stefan Seyfried "Any ideas, John?"
