Hi everybody,
I was wondering if we ship 11.0 with FireFox 3.0beta5 at the end or if there will be an update to the RC release beforehand?
I know it's rather late, but I thought FF was somehow in the position to be pushed.

I use FF beta and it works very stable. I tried out FF rc1 but there isn't full supply with addons. I think we should take beta and then upgrade to stable when its fully supportedin main repo.

If we update, then using the update repo.. the main repo is frozen once it's released. Add-Ons not working on FF RC1 should not be considered a stop for the update. There will always be a addon not ready.

Install the Nightly Tester and Make All Compatible (or whatever the wording is) and all Addons and Themes work with FF RC1 - and I've been using it since it became available.
However, I install and use FF myself and do not use the version which comes with openSUSE.

Ciao.

We will ship 11.0 with beta5 and release the final later one: http://www.rosenauer.org/blog/

I should think regardless what it's called you would want the https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394103 fix on the DVDs rather than surprising those who've already installed with an update. Has that fix been backported to B5 in Factory? If not and no plans to, 11.0 will cause this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox-3.0/+bug/178558/

If they manage to release v3.0 before June 19th, why not ship it with the release? I would hope that there wouldn't be too many issues with it that it couldn't just be added in if it's released a few days beforehand. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

That is already included since quite some time. Thanks for the hint anyway.

Have a little faith. It can't be any worse than shipping v10.1 with a broken package management system. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Faith is the one luxury release managers generally can not allow themselves. ;-) Been there, done that.
