[opensuse-factory] Neovim editor in openSUSE Factory
Hi guys, Neovim is a refactor—and sometimes redactor—in the tradition of Vim, which itself derives from Stevie. It is not a rewrite but a continuation and extension of Vim. Many clones and derivatives exist; some are very clever, but none are Vim. Neovim strives to be a superset of Vim except for some intentionally- removed misfeatures. It is built for users who want the good parts of Vim, and more. [1] Today, Neovim was accepted in Factory. I have been using it as my main editor for more than 4 months now. It is pretty much stable and, in my machine, replaced completely vim. My question is: what do you think to add an alternative so that the user can choose to which editor the `vi` executable will be pointing to? I think this will ask for modification in vim.spec and neovim.spec. ---------- [1] https://neovim.io/ Regards, Ronan Arraes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
