[opensuse-factory] List of current patterns
I've made today a list of the current defined patterns - factory will have them on sunday at latest - and their grouping together. There are requirements between patterns, e.g. the kde pattern requires kde_bases and a couple of other patterns, the laptop pattern gets selected automatically if we figure out that installation is on a laptop - and then kde_laptop/gnome_laptop is added depending on whether gnome/kde are installed as well. So, this is not the complete picture of patterns but a high-level overview. Note also that the CDs will not contain all the patterns, e.g. the non-oss patterns are only on the add-on CD and the same applies definitely to some of the devel patterns. On the others I'm still checking. What are we missing? Any suggestions for improvement? Btw. for openSUSE 10.2 there's a bugzilla component "Pattern" that you can always report bugs against if something is broken. But currently I prefer an open discussion on the mailing list so that everybody can comment directly.
