Hi All,
I just did a fresh 11.2m4 install inside VirtualBox using the KDE4 Live CD and I was not asked for a root password.
Since I was not 100% focused on the installation I repeated it in a second VM. Same result.
Am I missing something? Do the Live CDs have a default password? I tried "root", "linux", <empty> without success...
Thanks, Rolf
Did you try to use the same password that are set for your local user? The user that you create on the install process.

Yes, this was the first thing I have tried. However it seems I hit Bug 498314. The keyboard map was reset to US, instead of DE, which I choose during installation. And since I had an Y in my password, it did not work since a Z was entered.
Sorry for the noise and thanks for your answer.
BTW, this bug was discovered in M1 and is still state NEW.
