Are you sure that patch is a kernel patch? The title seems to suggest it's a patch for the NVidia proprietary drivers and it would depend on which driver you need to patch.

That's because you must have had a typo. I've been using this patch for some time in Tumbleweed. Copy the patch to the NVIDIA directory and then change to the NVIDIA directory. Open konsole or xterm and type: patch -p1 nvidia-3.11.patch Make sure that you type su before applying the patch. It's patching the NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-325.15/kernel/nv-linux.h file. Anyway, when II attempted to use either method suggested they both failed with mainly "file not found" errors.
