Although I did change the Xorg.conf file manually and set the driver to i810, the graphics performance does not seem to be great, so as a second request, it would be nice if someone could share their xorg.conf file with me to compare. (I get around 900 in glxgears)

Try sax2 -r -m 0=i810beta and add ' Load "dri" ' to Module section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf afterwards. Let me know, if that helps and attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log.
