[opensuse-factory] Heads-up: support for /etc/init.d/halt.local will be dropped in the next version of systemd (v243)
Hi, Please see: https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/12571 It seems that halt.local is very little used (one of the reasons might be because its lack of documentation) and systemd offers a better mechanism to run scripts at shutdown, see systemd-shutdown(8) man page. In order to follow upstream as close as possible, we would like to see the support of this script removed too. Therefore we will start deprecating the use of this script in the next update and remove it completely on the next version of systemd unless there are still many users of it and in this case we will go for a longer period of deprecation. Thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I use it, but apparently should be looking into systemd-shutdown shortly. Oh well... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
