Dear Geekos,
forwarding you a request for articles in IEEE magazine - I bet we have community members that work on bleeding edge topics and might be interested to share the knowledge.
Cheers Axel

Betreff: [OFE Open Source Community List] Looking for articles for IEEE Computer magazine open source column Datum: Dienstag, 16. November 2021, 22:56:17 CET Von: Dirk RIEHLE dirk@riehle.org An: Open Source Community List foss-community@openforumeurope.org
Hello everyone,
I'm looking for articles for the open source column of IEEE Computer magazine (>60k readers). The column addresses practitioners.
You can find past articles here
https://dirkriehle.com/open-books/open-source-expanded-column/
I'm open to interesting topics adding to those already covered.
Under using open source / tooling, a second complementary paper on the CI pipeline could be a good addition.
Under project communities, more examples could be interesting. We have one on OpenStack coming up.
Any other topic relevant to project communities would be fast to publication, e.g. diversity, inclusion, geography, etc.
Future theme arcs like company contribution, open source foundations, are in development, and I'm happy to receive declarations of interest on topics.
Finally, weird (= interesting!) or one-off topics are always welcome like open source hardware etc.
A bit more technical information is here https://bit.ly/2Z4wxM9
Thanks for your consideration! Please don't be shy with questions / comments.
Dirk
