[opensuse-factory] opensuseupdater doesn't see update
I installed openSUSE 10.3 Alpha 4 a few days ago and tested it. Before a moment I added factory tree to sources and clicked "Check now" in opensuseupdater. After checking, it claims that there is nothing to update. Is it bug, or I do not understand something? :-| -- Rafał Miłecki

This is working as intended. openSUSE-updater will show patch-priority updates only. Version upgrades which are quite different. If you want to upgrade all packages to newer version you can use yast -> software management or "zypper up -t package". _ Benjamin Weber

There is an enhancement request <https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=247385> for opensuseupdater to work this way in 10.3 (with an option), which may get implemented, so stay tuned. Kind thoughts, -- Francis Giannaros http://francis.giannaros.org
I know that all, I even found this enhancement on bugzilla but it's status is "Resolved". So I expected to be able to turn on updating _every_ packages... But I can not see such a possibility in opensuseupdater's GUI. -- Rafał Miłecki

No, that appears to have been a mistake. It's not resolved fixed; the feature is still being considered (see bug 216097, which it is a duplicate of). Kind thoughts, -- Francis Giannaros http://francis.giannaros.org
