[opensuse-factory] Transparent Menus
Hi I'm not sure how it happened but i've now suddenly got transparent menus on KDE programs - i can't seem to find how to turn it off. Any pointers will be gratefully received - i think i've tried everything in Systemsettings5 but i must have missed something. regards Ian -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20180827 Qt: 5.11.1 KDE Frameworks: 5.49.0 - KDE Plasma: 5.13.4 - kwin 5.13.4 kmail2 5.9.0 - akonadiserver 5.9.0 - Kernel: 4.18.5-1-default - xf86-video-nouveau: 1.0.15 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Probably related to compositing, I suppose. Try to disable (or enable) it via Shift+Alt+F12 or in systemsettings5->Display and Monitors->Compositor. It also may help to change between OpenGL or XRender compositing, installing/uninstalling Mesa-dri-nouveau, or using nvidia instead, I think. Might be some "regression" in nouveau... (there has been a kernel update after all, and parts of nouveau are in the kernel) Kind Regards, Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Probably related to compositing, I suppose. Yes, thanks. I took your advice and turned it off and its working fine now.

Unistalled that quite a while ago on your advice as my desktop was freezing/hanging all the time
