Have you had a chance to try it (KDE4.8 upstream) out yet? I've been using it for a few hours now, and i'm seriously considering rolling back to 4.7.4. This bug with the Panel or QT (not showing apps in the Task Manager that are running, and/or not removing apps when they are closed, and/or not responding to clicks) is really annoying. I don't see that. OBS was wrong then. Bit it looks like the package has been removed completely from Release 4.8, and for good reason. kdeutils was not part of the 4.8 release, the latest stable release of it is the 4.7.x version. I did finally last night, there were some dificulties but I had a KDE 'expert' with me and made everything work alright, now it works and I find it great ;-)

Hmmm maybe it's time to install Cinnamon :-P
