[opensuse-factory] Realtek RTL810xE stops working after closing lid
Hello, Probably a new bug-report to file but before, I would like to write the issue I'm facing after latest TW updates I'm using a Lenovo Z470 laptop which uses the Realtek PCI Ethernet card and the r8169 kernel module. When I close the lid my laptop goes in suspend mode and when I lift the lid it resume correctly but Ethernet card remains in off-mode. If I close and open the lid again, system resumes completely, including the Ethernet card. Note: this issue affects only the Ethernet card and not the WI-Fi card. --- sudo lspci -k | grep Ethernet -A2 05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. I suppose newest NetworkManager or even Kernel, could be responsible for this new issue. Developers are advised. Regards, -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Developers are advised.
Unless you've created a bug report and are following it up the "right" developers are not necessarily advised. Not all developers read / pay attention to posts on this list as often and or as regularly as they check the bugs that are assigned to them. Unless you hear back from someone explicitly saying i'm looking into this here's the bug report you can presume that the right developer has not been notified. This list is for discussing project wide development ideas / changes not managing bug reports. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, I know that this list it is not a bug-report list. The bug-report I filed is the following: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1131280 Regards, -- Marco Calistri Build: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20190327 Kernel: 5.0.3-1-default - Cinnamon 3.8.9 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Worth creating a bug report. Do not forget to attach a dmesg output after 2 suspend/resume cycles when the ethernet works again. thanks, -- js suse labs -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
