[opensuse-factory] xserver doesn't find fonts "Could not init font path element"
Hi, I'm playing with opensuse 11.3 + xserver from opensuse factory but it isn't able to find fonts even if these exist and fonts-config/fc-cache sees these. Even tried font server setting. Stracing xserver shows that it accesses fonts directory but somehow it decides that it cannot init such font paths. Any clues? linux-z5gn:~ # rpm -qa|grep xorg-|sort xorg-x11-7.5-11.3.i586 xorg-x11-driver-input-7.5-15.4.i586 xorg-x11-driver-video-7.5-24.2.i586 xorg-x11-driver-video-intel-legacy-2.9.1-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-driver-video-nouveau-0.0.15_20100401_bfb95cc-1.10.i586 xorg-x11-driver-video-radeonhd-1.3.0_20100325_f6c9991-1.13.i586 xorg-x11-fonts-7.5-4.1.noarch xorg-x11-fonts-core-7.5-4.1.noarch xorg-x11-libfontenc-7.5-3.4.i586 xorg-x11-libICE-7.5-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-libs-7.5-3.15.i586 xorg-x11-libSM-7.5-1.11.i586 xorg-x11-libX11-7.5-1.23.i586 xorg-x11-libX11-ccache-7.5-1.39.i586 xorg-x11-libXau-7.5-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-libxcb-7.5-3.1.i586 xorg-x11-libXdmcp-7.5-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-libXext-7.5-1.10.i586 xorg-x11-libXfixes-7.5-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-libxkbfile-7.5-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-libXmu-7.5-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-libXp-7.5-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-libXpm-7.5-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-libXprintUtil-7.5-1.10.i586 xorg-x11-libXrender-7.5-1.9.i586 xorg-x11-libXt-7.5-1.10.i586 xorg-x11-libXv-7.5-1.8.i586 xorg-x11-server-7.5_1.9.0.901-1.1.i586 xorg-x11-xauth-7.5-11.3.i586 xorg-x11-Xvnc-7.5_1.8.0-9.4.i586 Whole Xorg.log: http://pastebin.com/wV52qjHz Partial Xorg.log: [ 5515.542] (II) GLX: Initialized DRI2 GL provider for screen 0 [ 5515.543] (II) intel(0): Setting screen physical size to 270 x 203 [ 5515.543] [dix] Could not init font path element /usr/share/fonts/misc:unscaled, removing from list! You should use xserver from X11:Xorg (11.3 repository) and make sure to
upgrade all packages from this repository. This will allow X to start
properly.
