[opensuse-factory] Tumbleweed - Review of the week
Dear Tumbleweed users and hackers,
We can look back at a week full of changes in Tumbleweed.
As oer last weeks outlook we now have systemd 219 in Tumbleweed,
starting up our systems.
There are two things that were noted, causing some issues here and
there:
* AppArmor cycle on bootup, see
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2015-04/msg00001.html
* Messages no longer forwarded to syslog alternatives, see
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2015-04/msg00006.html
Next to that, GNOME 3.16.0 has as well landed in snapshot 20150330. A
lot of you were waiting for it.
What can we expect next week
We integrated a new way of producing AppStream metadata for
Tumbleweed. Every time the FTP Tree is being published, the metadata
is an interated part of the publishing and we can thus expect GNOME
Software (and hopefully other AppStream based software centers will
emerge) to get a much better, up-to-date view of the available
applications (NOT packages!)
That'd be it for this week! I wish the once celebrating it a happy
easter!
Cheers,
Dominique
