[opensuse-factory] Re: plasma5 splash not going away, needs Mesa-dri installer, dependency issue
I also was bitten by this yesterday and couldn't boot into Gnome or Cinnamon (specifically Clutter or Mutter). The logs were showing:
Unable to initialize the Clutter backend: no available drivers found
This is also a system with recommended package installation disabled. It would appear that Mesa-dri should be required, but I'm not sure about hardware compatibility with other vendors. (I have just integrated Intel graphics.) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Same here. 'zypper in Mesa-dri' solved it. The neccessary stuff (/usr/lib64/dri/i965_dri.so in my case) used to be part of the main Mesa package until yesterday. Now it is part of Mesa-dri. So indeed looks like Mesa should require Mesa-dri? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
