[opensuse-factory] java-11-openjdk obsoletes java-10-openjdk
Hi, I've already created a bug report two months ago without any response, so I hope to get a wider audience in this mailing list: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1137382 The Java 11 packages in the Java:Factory repository and now even in Tumbleweed obsoletes the Java 10 packages since the last update, so it is not possible anymore to install both versions in parallel. For me as developer it is necessary to have all JDK versions from 8 to 12 installed in parallel as different projects require different versions. With two JDK releases per year such behavior with obsoleting older versions is becoming more and more a problem. Since two months now I could not installed any JDK 11 package update as I needed to lock the java-10-openjdk packages to keep them while updating. I fear this will get me big trouble sometimes in the future.
