I sometimes do. But for some reason the things I brought up on the different mailing lists are not seriously answered in time. So I pretty quickly end up doing bugzilla nevertheless so it's at least properly tracked.

The forum needs also to be considered in this discussion.
For example: After 3 1/2 weeks of no activity on https:// bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1114570 I posted https:// forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/534000-KDE-Clock-shows-incorrect-time- since-daylight-change and the bug was fixed within a day (according to the bug reported; I had no time yet to test the fix).

The solution/culprit has already been described: running two time services at the same time, check ntpd and systemd-timesyncd

(1) Your post is off-topic. This thread discusses where to discuss potential bugs, not about any specific bug. If you'd like to contribute to solving the issue in the example I gave, please do so in the respective forum thread and/ or bug report.
(2) Before posting based on title of the forum thread/bug report alone, please briefly look at them. You would then have noticed that (1) they are not about the system time, (2) your guess has already been discussed and found to be not the issue and (3) a fix in libQtQuick5 adding support for negative DST offsets solves the issue.

I understand your point. But I think you should give explicit(!) examples of such reports, so we can understand better? My point would be: when you post on factory, you have to be sure and certain that you know already it is a bug, otherwise people complain and feel very disturbed by the noise, even if it is TW. They generally send you to opensuse main mailing-list, were however the audience appears not apt to get involved in this kind of dept, has often not the same hardware or is not reacting at all. Or, ...send you to factory list (IMO there is still a lot of confusion on which list what should go, YMMW, this is purely subjective, as I did not find anything objective). Now if somebody opens a bug after a week or so, is this still "not seeking sufficiently for support"?
Maybe a solution would be, that threads seeking for help are at least assisted on the lists with the correct commands or at least hints for the CLI to debug or at least answering them were to find the information, even if this is some bother and loss of time. In all cases I am quite furiously against the "google it" answer that I deem a public nuisance worse than to double post or to post on the "wrong" list. Even RTHM does imply that the user in case knows what the HM is!
Regards.

I don't. I thought he was asking for that paragraph to be removed.

In fact, some are disturbed by the noise and tell one to write the bugzilla directly, without asking on the list.

Thanks for pointing out the outdated wiki page, the opensuse-factory mailing list should no longer be used for this purpose (It was causing too much noise), i've updated the wiki to now just suggest the support mailing list.
