"Nobody seemed to care": I don't care in this case, because I don't care about SLE12. Nevertheless I gave you a suggestion how to solve it. It would have been much nicer to discuss that, instead of picking about the fact who cares and who doesn't.
It is probably a mistake that we have SLE-12 still among builds. Removed. It is convenient to pick when possible and needed the bleeding edge package for SLE-12, but it is really more confusing than helping.
What I do care about is Tumbleweed. I would like to see SIP v6 and PyQt6 in Tumbleweed soon, but you don't react to my repeated queries about the new devel project. If you don't like it, say so. But please don't ignore it.
I have never wanted to stand in any volunteer activity in openSUSE. However, in this particular case, I would prefer if the projects more specifically related to something else were not in d:l:p but in their particular area. Specifically, I would like both Gnome, KDE, and anything else GUI be subproject of that particular environment than in d:l:p. Most of these libraries have much more bugs in dealing with GUI than with anything Python specific. Of course, if Python expertise is needed, I am willing to help, but I don't think I want to be burdened with overseeing daily life of those packages. I thought, I had already said this, and that you have already moved your activities elsewhere, so I dropped it from my radar. Is there anything I could help with?
And there is a more than a month old PR pending on the Github repo for python-rpm-macros regarding the default alternative link for python entrypoints. In the light of the recent discussion on the Factory mailing list regarding alternatives, I presume it should get a bit more priority now.
I don’t see anything in https://build.opensuse.org/package/requests/devel:languages:python:Factory/p... What request are we talking about? I am really sorry for any of my mistakes and misunderstanding. Well, SLE-12-SPx is still officially supported, so it's handy to have these build failures exposed to a broader audience than to just SUSE employees in IBS. I haven't pursued this issue further because there were more important issues in the meantime, but I might have another look next week. Adrian

Not by openSUSE community members. The openSUSE community supports Leap 15.2, 15.3 and Factory/Tumbleweed.

For me, build failures on SLES12 are only noise and I could not care less about them.
