Package submissions for Leap 15.3

Hi, what is the status of package submissions to Leap 15.3 (openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP3) ? I see some SR in the queue for nearly 3 weeks now. Any reason why they are building, but are not accepted? Thanks Axel

Submissions that also need dependencies to be updated in SLE are still in progress which is of course unfortune but we are working on it. Please let me know if you are interested in any specific request so I might give you a more detailed update on it. yes, I understood from teh thread openSUSE Leap 15.3: some packages inherited from SLE are (probably) not rebuildable that there a some issues....
Please let me know if you are interested in any specific request so I might give you a more detailed update on it.
For example https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/860403 (should work) https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/860433 (is blocked by broken python-magic) And a more general question: For Leap 15.1/2 we had a kind of rolling development until freeze, and updated packages got pulled automatically from Factory. If this is the case for 15.3 as well, that would save us a lot of SR. Can you comment? Thanks Axel

For example https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/860403 (should work)
trytond builds fine but needs python3-relatorio as runtime dependency, please see install check failing in staging: https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/home:repo-checker/reports/openS...
https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/860433 (is blocked by broken python-magic)
python-relatorio needs python-python-magic which conflicts with python-magic from SLE (build of python-python-magic fails because rpmlint check is complaining about this conflict) I creted a merge request for adding python-python-magic to whitelist for rpmlint check in Backports. So this might be fixed very soon.
And a more general question: For Leap 15.1/2 we had a kind of rolling development until freeze, and updated packages got pulled automatically from Factory.

Indeed that would save us a lot of submit requests but problems with runtime dependencies for example would be noticed at a later point in time when the package already got updated in Leap/Backports and Leap image is tested in openQA. So currently we are using Staging mechanism for checking on problems during build and installation of the package. That means more submit requests to process but we also notice problems at an earlier stage before the package finally got updated in Leap/Backports.
