[opensuse-factory] Bluetooth Devices
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 SUSE's support of Bluetooth is fairly good, but there's still a few issues I'd like to address: * Adding a Bluetooth mouse requires a command line. This isn't user friendly to say the least * Adding a Bluetooth modem (well, GPRS connection) requires manual editing of conf files as well as a command line. This is also not very user friendly. The first one will be simpler to fix for someone who knows the YaST code base (I'm a programmer, but still haven't gotten around to checking out YaST.. should probably do that though...). It basically requires a UI to scan for devices and another one to connect to a device. The command line for connecting a Bluetooth mouse is basically: hidd --search (neeed for some odd reason...) hidd --connect bdaddr It just works after that, and only needs to be done once. It just works after that, even persisting after reboots and power cycles of the mouse. - --Justin Haygood -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFFKIZVNg2nHvclOMRAkDMAJ4iIjCun6yitgHywghgCErUpMOubACggq+/ RCvATb9+8OazM/doiLdy+2A= =/hb9 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
