I have an Intel Skylake (in my case an E3-1245v5) and tried to install Leap 42.1 with the net-installation ISO file. However, when installation starts, the screen goes blank. Last output I can see is where it scans for hardware. Instead of launching the installer, the system hangs. Using text-mode installation doesn't work either. Alt+Ctrl+Fx to switch to other consoles also doesn't work. The system hangs with a black screen.
Skylake CPUs are supported by Kernel 4.2 an newer. IMHO the net-installation ISO contains a fairly old kernel (4.0.4 or something). Is it possible to update the net-installation ISO to use a newer kernel?
