GeForce 6100 is still supported with the newest driver. See http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html
For 64 bit http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_amd64_177.82.html On left side you have "Supported Products List" that links to http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_18897.html and you can see
Chip PCI ID GeForce 6100 nForce 420 0x03D5 GeForce 6100 nForce 405 0x03D1 GeForce 6100 nForce 400 0x03D2 GeForce 6100 0x0242
Thanks - mine's the last of these, 0x0242 Used to do 1280x1024 in OpenSuSE 10.3 but 11.0 / 11.1 betas won't work above 1024x768 - all I get is a black screen with a white / coloured horizontal line at the top. This with 'official' openSuSE 11.0 one (173.14.12-0.1) or various versions up to and including 180.08 for nvidia site (thanks to previous replies in this thread) I'm not sure if it's really a Beta / Factory issue (same in 11.0 final) but something has changed since 10.3... -- Cheers Richard (MQ) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
