Nobody would complain about systemd if it's maintainers would keep their fingers away from sysvinit.
I think you misunderstood. AFAIU Cristian wants to remove those scripts in case systemd is used. He does not care about what you do if you operate sysvinit.
And since you and those complaining about systemd would not use systemd anyway, why do you care whether there are sysvinit scripts removed for a systemd environment?
If you come up with a maintainer include the sysvinit scripts in the sysvinit package.
