I notice that in 12.3 "Install Updates & Restart" now frequently appears on the GNOME shell menu as per http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/SystemUpdates
Isn't this a step backwards? I always do updates online and reboot only on kernel updates (if I find it's worth to run the new kernel immediately). Never had serious issues.
No. it is an step to sanity :-)
Care to elaborate? Many messages that tell you to reboot should actually just tell you to re-login. There's a big difference there, regarding running services. PS: debian's gnome 3 has the same issue. I'd say it's upstream. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
