Hi Johannes,
Is "#!/bin/bash" no longer supported? How does using a non-bash shell avoid bashisms?
scripts that use bash extensions need to call themselves via bash. there is no constraint on using /bin/bash currently. There are projects and use-cases where size matters, and bash is relatively large. being able to know which package sets can be composed to run with e.g. busybox or dash (which is significantly smaller than bash) and without bash is useful knowledge to have. in order to know that somebody needs to do the work in assessing how bad it is. thats what I'm doing. Greetings, Dirk
