What Ruediger wrote is true the other way around as well: a much better old system, I'm sure will be supported.
What I can see - and what I don't like at all - is a group of people who are planning to remove System V init from distribution even if it is maintained and even if it works much better than systemd. Moreover, they keep repeating that System V init will go eventually - probably because they believe that if they repeat it enough times, people will accept it as a given fact.
