I'm currently working on huge changes in the YaST DNS Server Configuration, the most important features are:
* New resource records: AAAA (IPv6), SRV, TXT * IPv6 reverse zones (possibly automatically generated) * More strict checking when creating or changing records * Checking whole zones for their completeness (NS, ...) * ...
Is there anyone who would like to test these new features and maybe add their own ideas, comments, etc.?
I would like to play with them. I think this is one area that needed attention.
Thanks,
Can I add a bit 'me too' to Boyd's request? I've just spent a while setting up a small DNS server with Dynamic DHCP support, and there are probably a few areas that I would love to see improved. Is the DHCP YaST module being looked at as well, to increase the integration of these two components, e.g. Dynamic DNS with DHCP? With more and more people building home networks this would be a great area to spend some time on.
