It would've really helped if somebody just said what packages to lock until I'm ready to make the switch. As it is I can't update anything before I've made sure that Plasma 5 will work for me.
On TW installations I want to keep on v4, I've been using the following prior to zypper dup, with apparent success: zypper al kf5* kdm* kdebase4* konsole* ksnapshot* kcalc* konqueror* kde-oxygen-fonts kded* kmenuedit* kwin* libqt* qtcurve* qt4* sddm breeze* qtcurve-qt5 kmix libkonq5 kde4-kgreeter-plugins To get it, on the first such system I just kept answering cancel instead of letting zypper dup proceed, and adding locks until the conflicts stopped.
An attempt to update produces conflicts for plasma-nm-* packages, BTW.
I have only fixed IP installations, so no use for *nm*. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Proverbs 16:21 (New Living Translation) Team OS/2 ** Reg.
