However, as should be rather evident in the more technically oriented part of the thread, there is still no convergence on what is actually going to happen. There is of course also the possibility that no convergence will be achieved and then we have to figure out what that implies and how to move forward with that situation. For the most part the discussion has remained factual and focused on the issues that concern people w.r.t. the distribution, lets keep it that way.
We should also acknowledge that there are voices in the community that are concerned about the naming and versioning of whatever is next and should not dismiss those concerns out of hand, even if the discussion about this topic may be a bit pre-mature.
