So why are you bellyaching on an openSUSE mailinglist that SUSE should have chosen different?

What do you expect the most positive outcome of this complain-thread could possibly be?

So what positive outcome do you expect of your attitude?

Ideally? Either more useful posts, or less posts, from yourself on this mailinglist.

As someone that supported a SLE 12 customer for years (retired now).

My suggestion is to move all the python 3.6 to /opt/python3.6 - continue to support it in that location and for those that need 3.6 add that to the PATH.

Make everything else a newer version 3.10?  depending on whether or not you need 3.6 put those PATH first if not at the end of the PATH env.

/opt/python3.6

/opt/python3.6/bin

/opt/python3.6/lib64

my 2 cents - that is what AT&T did for some customers that needed an obsolete application - it worked out.
