You are right. I often file bug reports, but here I probably can't provide enough details for a bug report. For instance I haven't saved the RPM output of the systemd upgrade (I only remember that surprisingly the systemd postinstall script complained about my new pam_pwquality option usersubstr=4) and I have no snapshot of the old system, so I can not repeat the update. So maybe other users had a similar problem, have more details and can file a bug report.
You might want to check /var/log/zypp/history, which usually carries all the output of zypper. If you file a bug report, please provide the bug number here. Cheers, Pete
