Hi all,
I've just seen, that factory still has fvwm 2.6.4 which
crashes on opensuse 12.2 and 12.3 x86_64. I downgraded fvwm to version 2.5.26 to prevent it from crashing.
OK, so if we have a fvwm that crashes for 2 releases,

I'm using fvwm 2.6.4 and xterm and I do not have any crashes on 12.3 otherwise I would fix that.
It only happens on x86_64. At least I and 3 colleagues have exactly the same issue on their machines. We just installed the fvwm from 12.1 on 12.3 and everything is fine on all 4 machines. There is also a newer version fvwm 2.6.5 which fixes a segfault (http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.redhat.fedora.extras.cvs/891504), but it seems to be triggered differently. I haven't tried that version, since the rpm from opensuse 12.1 works perfectly on 12.3 (just one addtional library is needed from 12.1).
Just give home:WernerFink:branches:X11:windowmanagers/fvwm2 on build.opensuse.org a try ... this is 2.6.5 + parts of snapshot 2012/10/11 Werner -- "Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a swimming pool." -- Edward Burr
