I think zyppers behaviour here is totally sane. It is most certainly not a bug. The problem is that external repositories a rarely maintained in a way that facilitates good smooth upgrades in all circumstances
I agree and `zypper dup --no-allow-vendor-change` is working perfectly for me on my "Leap 42.2 development server" as part of a daily automatic update. I have the official main repos enabled plus some for the applications I am active part of the development, e.g. openQA, python-openqa_review, and according dependencies. The above command does the automatic update nearly every time automatically. Only in the case we move dependencies around, e.g. python-configparser was part of my home repo, is now part of devel:languages:python, others were previously part of d:l:p and are now part of official Leap 42.2 because I submitted them to Factory and then to Leap accordingly. In these cases the automatic command will inform me by email about the suggested move, I login manually, select the appropriate choice or whatever I find suitable, and continue from there. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
