tl;dr 42.2 Alpha 3 is on the mirrors, get it from http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.2/iso/
The YaST problems that prevented me from installing Alpha-2 are fixed but another has reared its ugly head. The set-up of wireless connection failed 3 times out of 4. On the only occasion on which it worked, the power supply failed to the laptop on which I was installing it, thus aborting the installation. I made a note of the failure message but have now lost it. Not a good day yesterday.
I bypassed the wireless set-up and got a good installation. I then tried setting up wireless using Wicked but the same failure occurred. No problems occurred with NetworkManager.
As soon as I have sent this, I'll install Alpha-3 on this machine and endeavour to get some record of the YaST wireless problem.
Done that and, needless to say, Murphy's Law prevailed and I had no failure during installation with the wireless set-up. Perhaps I got the 1-in-5 success 1st time out. I doubt that it's hardware-related else why did it work once on the lap-top? I'll try another machine and then another look at the lap-top may be needed. -- Graham Davis, Bracknell, Berks. openSUSE 13.2 (64-bit); KDE 4.14.9; AMD Phenom II X2 550 Processor; Kernel: 3.16.7; Video: nVidia GeForce 210 (Driver: nVidia); Sound: ATI SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
