After the update with zypper dup I was left with a non working kmail.
The information after using the konsole to start kmail was:

No further explanation. Other kmail users with the same problem?
Solutions, anybody? Sounds like you used "zypper up" instead of "zypper dup".
Sorry Fabian, haven't used zypper up in years. Must be something else. This is likely related to the move of kcontacts from KDE Applications to KDE Frameworks, which results in a version downgrade, which "zypper up" can't deal with. It might be caused by mixing incompatible repos or having

Please open a bug report and provide the output of: rpm -qif /usr/lib64/libKF5ContactEditor.so.5 /usr/lib64/libKF5Contacts.so.5

Found one remaining small problem with my updates since a good month. As it did not seem important I did not look into a solution.
At every zypper dup those two things were reported as not possible to solve. I ignored those two reports.
The following package is going to be REMOVED: gtk3-schema 3.24.11-1.1 noarch openSUSE
The following package is going to be downgraded: gtk4-schema 3.96.0-1.1 -> 3.94.0-1.1 noarch openSUSE-20181029-0 openSUSE
the required actions could not be done. For the downgrade an old snapshot was required.
Could this be the cause of my kmail problem?
Working on the bug report.
That was the idea but after a whole evening working on the details of a bug report I gave up. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
