Hm, after reading all these mails, I still don't understand where you got this paranoia from. First, there is no such thing as a "kde4". Second, nobody suggested to remove "kde4" anyway. The only thing that was mentioned was "kdepim", which is a suite of "Personal Information Management" software, similar to evolution. We are going to drop the old, unmaintained 4.x version. And kdepim is still shipped anyway, the latest version at this time. The "KDE4" kdelibs will stay. So you will also still be able to build applications that use it. The "KDE4 desktop " (Plasma1) was dropped already in Leap 42.1, the last openSUSE release that used and supported it was 13.2. So no regression there...
