However, there is unfortunately no commandlinetool to install updates then.
fou4s might work: http://fou4s.gaugusch.at/ has been a "fast online update 4 suse" command line tool for many SUSE versions now. Haven't tested it on SUSE 10.1 yet, though.
I guess you could just use "yum" natively too. Ciao, Marcus
