Just went through that. Found nothing that would explain why /dev/nvidia*
is no longer handled by ACL.
How did you install the nvidia packages, and which?
So this had been the root of the issue. I had upgraded from the G04 version
of the drivers to the G05 version.
The uaccess magic of the packages is done in a trigger script, and cleaned out
when the packages is removed. Unfortunately, if you upgrade to another
branch, it would run the de-install post scripts of the old package *after*
the trigger scripts of the new package, thus removing the necessary file
This is packaging bug. Trigger script *must* check whether this is
update or full removal and act accordingly. Open bug report.
