Hi!

Just detected that FF refuses to send a link as Email.

As I have not used this for longer I don't know how old this error is
and if it is Suse related.

The german error message is :

Erstellung des Ein-/Ausgabemoduls nicht möglich. Meldung von klauncher:
Unbekanntes Protokoll „mailto“.

translated:

Creation of I/O modul not possible. Message from klauncher: Unknown
protocoll "mailto"

Nothing found about it but the same error in the Suse Forum from July
2020. Unsolved:

https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/541516-Fehler-KIOExec

Any ideas?
This is probably http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1178596.
xdg-utils needs to be adjusted, but as a workaround it might be enough to edit
~/.config/emaildefaults and remove the EmailClient= line to trigger a fallback
to kde-open5.

Cheers,
Fabian

Thanx Fabian!

a) Deleting Thunderbird in the emaildefaults did not help

b) reinstalling  xdg-email did not help - it ejected tons of errors

Now I looked around in my setup.

Froms the division non sense:

In KDE - default applications for the mailer there were two instances of Thunderbird:

One with no icon and one with the default Thunderbird icon.

The Non-Icon-Thunderbird was selected.

Changed it to the With-Icon-Thunderbird.

Now everything is fine!!!!!

Whatever happend with one of he last updates!

O Lord - don't ask me questions.

Solved without knowing what happened.

Winni
