I just installed spectacle as well . Problem seem to be that in Systemsettings it still calls ksnapshot when the print screen key is pressed. I needed to replace ksnapshot with spectacle in System settings --> Shortcuts --> custom shortcuts --> Preset actions --> Print Screen --> Actions Tab

 

This is translated from german settings so not sure if its completely accurate.

 

be sure to you use systemsettings5 and not the one for kde4. I seems to have both of them still installed.
