Please - help your marketing team write a decent "help test openSUSE" article... We need some input on what would be helpful, what do we want people to do.

Hmm, here's some things from the top of my head that we can hardly cover with automated tests: - physical hardware (UEFI!) - update from previous versions using YaST as well as zypper dup - new installation for dual boot with other operating systems - WiFi - printing - using your favorite app, playing your favorite game etc. - performance regression tests Looking at http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Major_features some test cases could be deduced as well I think. For example - btrfs of course - bluetooth on KDE and GNOME - libreoffice - anything YaST related - in general verify all features we advertise there work In general testers should be encouraged to *use* (not just try) openSUSE pre-release versions on *physical* machines, ie not VMware or virtalbox. cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.de/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
